Burleson County Republican's Annual Fall Fest

October 5, 2010
Republicans Enjoy Fall Fest
Conservatives in Burleson County gathered at the Republican Party's annual FALL FEST at the Caldwell Civic Center.  Our crowd winning strategy of great good, knowledge, and lots of politic'n once again  had our members learning and meeting our elected officials.

Our featured speaker, Dr. Suzanna Gratia Hupp, survivor o f the mass shooting at Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen, Texas brought a realistic, and very different assessment of gun control law's impact on the general population.
In 1991, after leaving her gun in her car in order to comply with the law, Suzanna watched helplessly as both her parents, along with 21 others were gunned down.  As a survivor of this tragedy, her impassioned calls for the right of citizens to self-defense have thrust her into the national debate on the right to keep and bear arms.

Republican Party Primary Election

March 2, 2010

Texans chose to vote Republican better than 2-to-1 over Democrat in the 2010 Primary Election.  In Burleson County, the Republican Party was preferred 3.5 to 1!  We are honored to find that so many of our neighbors realize that the values they have always held are now best exemplified by the Republican Party.

We have a summary of the voting in Burleson County and race-wide in our "2010 Primary Results" page.   The original, pre-election "Republican Primary Candidates" page is also still availabe.

BC-GOP's Annual "Fall Fest" A Success

  October 19, 2009

The Burleson County GOP held its annual "Fall Fest" with a great turnout.  Featured speaker, Texas Education Board Member Don McLeroy, gave us some real insight into the Education Board's influence on what Texas and many of the nation's children are being taught.  Even more interesting was the changes that conservatives are being able to make that will significantly help children succeed in the real world.

Burleson County Celebrates Independance Day With A Tea Party!

July 4, 2009

Davidson Creek Park's Porter Farms Pavilion was the site of Burleson County's second Tea Party!  There was lots of shade, sausage wraps, TEA, music, and surprises!  There were also lots of signs making it clear that Congress's "Spend Now" binge isn't what "Change" is all about.  If the signs didn't make the point, the speakers on the Soapbox did.

March 10, 2009

Spring Fling 2009
The 2009 Spring Fling brought out the best in politics, fellowship, food, and even a silent auction to compete with E-bay!

Guests included Justice Filipe Renya and Justice Rex Davis, both of the 10th Court of Appeals; potential Congressional District 17 candidates Chuck Wilson and Jimmie Kerr; X and Y from Senate District 5 PAC.
Photo of Chairman Michael Williams, Railroad Commission of TexasOur featured speaker was Chairman Michael Williams of the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) and announced candidate for US Senator should Kay Bailey Hutchison retire.

2008 General Election Shows Burleson County Squarely Conservative

With 6,664 of the county's 11,234 registered voters casting votes in this year's Presidential Election it was clear that Burleson County voters value conservative politicians.  Republican conservatives won locally in 14 out of 15 contested races and gained four more where they had no opposition.   For the first time in Burleson County history, more straight "Republican Party Ticket" votes (1,912) were cast than straight "Demoncrat Party Ticket" votes (1,372) ... by a 60% to 40% margin!  For race-by-race details see our 2008 General Election page.
